Stylized Volleyball Portraits & Action Shots
When you get to shoot sports-themed portraits in a school gym, there are many more opportunities for creativity designed to show off the athletes. Dramatic lighting, color, smoke effects, and especially staging the perfect action shot make this setting one of my new favorites.
The South Forsyth High School Volleyball team hired me this season to go beyond what they normally get from the usual yearbook and banner photography vendor. We had a blast capturing the varsity girls in some unique poses, getting a few shots between close friends, and then saving, setting, and killing the ball.
These pictures are going to be treasured by the girls and their families, especially the seniors. They also provide the raw materials for some amazing social media posts.
